The Panamanian Government will pay you to retire in Panama. Not in actual money, but in the form of a wide variety of discounts applicable to retirees only.
The following groups qualify:
Female Panamanians and foreign residents who are 55 years of age or more.
Male Panamanians and foreign nationals who are 60 years of age and more.
Retirees (Judilados)
Disabled people on pensions or handicapped people regardless of age.

30% off all public transport, including intercity buses
40% off train fares
30% off launches and ships
25% off airline travel
50% off at hotels, motels and pensions Monday through to Thursday
30% off at hotels, motels and pensions Friday, Saturday and Sunday
15-25% of the individuals meals in a restaurant
15% of the total bill for hospitals and private clinics when not covered by insurance
10% off the cost of prescription drugs
20% off for general medical consultations
15% off dentist services
15% off optometrist services
15% off cardiologist services
10% off psychiatrist services
10% off generic specialist services
20% off fees of technical and professional specialists (lawyers, nurses, architects, physical therapists, etc)
50% off commissions involving personal & commercial loans (at the discretion of the lender)
25% off the residential electricity if your bill is under $50
